Overview
This guide explains the steps and selections available for Managers or Directors when porting their existing numbers to their CloudPBX.
Requirements
Activated login with Director or Manager permissions to ConnectSmart Manager
Porting Fees
Confirm with your ConnectSmart Partner the fees incurred for porting, as they vary from Number Type to also the different regions.
Steps
Login to https://my.connectsmart.cloud
Under Services -> CloudPBX, select Numbers
Click on the Port Number(s) button
Enter in the required information and when ready, click Submit Port.
Starting Number
Either enter in the individual number, or the first number of a range.
Number Types
1800 Free Call - 1800 numbers are the most popular for Customer Enquiry lines. Callers do not incur any charges.
1300 Local Rate - These 1300 numbers are a great way to market your firm. Callers are charged a local rate.
National - These are your normal land-line phone numbers, available anywhere in the country.
Mobile - Need to make a call using a mobile number? These numbers will be integrated with Whatsapp very soon!
Range
Select either a single number or a range of 10 or 100 numbers.
Office
Simply select the Office you wish to have the numbers being ordered linked to.
Important: The address for the selected office will be provided to Emergency Services to let them know office address of the calling number in the event Fire/Police/Ambulance services need to be dispatched.
Recommended: For accounts with multiple offices, we recommend configuring those first to ensure you have the correct time zone configured for the numbers as this can affected call handling for Time Conditions.
Current Carrier Name / Account Number
This information is very important as we will need to liaise with your current Carrier to ensure a smooth port of your number(s).
Invoice Upload: Once your Port has been submitted, please access your Order via Clients -> Orders, select your new Port Order and then upload a copy of your most recent Carrier invoice as this may be required to prove we have the authority to request the port.
Completed & Assigned
You will be notified once your port has been completed and numbers assigned. They will be listed in the Numbers table ready for allocation.
