Having trouble hearing your phone call, or maybe the person you called can't hear you?
If that is the case, lets check your computers audio settings are correct to make sure CallSmart is sending the audio to the correct speakers and/or headset and listening to your microphone
Important Note - Don't forget, CallSmart Cloud needs permission to access your microphone, if you are unsure, check out this article to make sure it has permission - CallSmart Cloud - Microphone Permission
If you can't hear anything, or the person you are calling can't hear anything, its possible that your default microphone and/or speakers aren't setup correctly.
Click Start, then click Settings (settings cog), this will open the Windows Settings page
On the left, click Sound
Speakers and/or headsets
For your speakers, at the top section called Output, you should see the 'Choose your output device'. This is referring to your speakers. Our example below is using the speakers built into our Intel Display or monitor. Our Master volume setting is also set fairly low. You can easily change your speakers here by clicking on the drop down under 'Choose your output device'.
Microphones and/or headsets
For your microphone, at the middle section called Input, you should see the 'Choose your input device'. This is referring to your microphone. Our example below is using the microphone built into our Microsoft web camera. As with your speakers, if you have multiple microphones, you can easily change which one your computer uses by clicking on the drop down under 'Choose your input device'.
Unsure about what devices you have connected?
Still in the Windows Settings, Sound section, you can select Manage sound devices to see more information about what devices are connected to your computer.
Below, under Output, we have two Philips PHL 273V5 computer screens (each with a pair of built-in speakers) connected to our computer. We also have a Microsoft LifeCam Studio web camera which has a built-in microphone.
If you click on each of these devices, you will be given some more options. For speakers, you can click Test to hear a sound and see where the audio is played. For microphones, you can enable/disable them depending on what is connected and which device you wish to use.
What types of speakers and/or microphones are supported?
Any speaker that your Windows 10 computer can play sound through, or any microphone that can hear you will be supported by CallSmart Cloud. There are no special drivers or software installs needed to make the audio work, maybe just some adjusting of settings to get the best experience.
